Dr. Nishant Rao is a licensed, board certified naturopathic doctor, dedicated to creating wellness.  He completed his medical studies at the National College of Natural Medicinein Portland, Oregon and received his Bachelor of Science in herbal sciences from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. He also holds a degree in therapeutic bodywork from The Cortiva Institute.  Dr. Rao co-founded WellWire, a wellness resource and on-line community of naturopathic physicians and acupuncturists.  Dr. Rao serves on the board for The Institute for Natural Medicine and is an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association.

While his practice focuses on general family medicine, Dr. Rao places a strong emphasis on weight management and weight loss, chronic disease, disease prevention and sustaining wellness.  Dr. Rao was born in Nairobi, Kenya and grew up in London, Paris and the U.S.  He has consulted for Six Senses Resorts & Spas in Thailand, Vietnam, the Middle East and the Maldives.  He is based in Los Angeles and you can find him at Balance Westside Wellness in Santa Monica and L.A. Chiro in Agoura Hills.
